Thank you for the story of telling a story. Learning new things as an adult can be discouraging and frustrating, I'm glad your curiosity was piqued again.
Tricia, thanks! I like telling stories about telling stories and I'm glad you noticed! Learning new things can be discouraging for people of any age - but it can also be a source of joy. I like to hold onto that whenever I can!
Great story! Very insightful as I've been thinking myself about exhibiting! All was very much appreciated. Love what you do. Wish I had your references!
Thank you for the kind words. Of course, if you would like to try exhibiting I would encourage you to do so. Give yourself permission to not know everything because the biggest joy, in my opinion, comes from giving yourself learning goals and then achieving them. The exhibit gives you a structure to pursue your learning and then show yourself (and maybe others) what you have discovered. If you have questions about the process, feel free to ask - and maybe consider joining AAPE (American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors). As far as references are concerned - many of them are now available via the internet! You might be inspiring me to write on resources in the future.
Thanks. Much appreciated. On your comment "giving yourself learning goals" is precisely why I reached out for help in that cover to Buenos Ares! Great suggestion about joining AAPE. I will. I know, I have a growing set of on-line and physical references. Started with Skinner-Eno and has steadily grown ..... Proportionally with the stamps.
